Insurance and Fees
I accept most plans associated with the following insurances:
Blue Cross and Blue Shield
United Healthcare
Optum and Oscar
Aetna
GEHA and Meritain
Cigna
I am licensed to practice in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. I do not accept any Medicare or Medicaid plans associated with the above companies. If you are interested in finding out your deductible or copay, please contact me to verify your insurance, and I will get back to you within two workdays.
At times, people have different insurance for medical and mental healthcare. If you have, for example, Aetna insurance for medical but United Healthcare for mental health, it is important that when you provide the insurance information you use the mental health insurance information only, otherwise invoices cannot be properly submitted, and claims will be rejected.
Keep in mind that many HSAs and FSAs permit reimbursement of the money spent on covering deductibles or copays for individual (usually not couple’s) mental health services.
Private Pay
There are many advantages to private pay. When using insurance, a number of stipulations must be followed to comply with guidelines, such as strict timelines; diagnostic justifications; a limited number and frequency of sessions; and, of course, audits by insurance. The best way to ensure maximum flexibility, privacy, and freedom in therapy is to utilize private pay where finances allow.
Intake (typically, 40-60 minutes): $130
40-minute individual session: $105
55-minute individual session: $130
80-minute couple’s session: $150
Keep in mind that many HSAs and FSAs permit reimbursement of the money spent on individual (usually not couple’s) mental health services.
There are no regulations restricting life coaching services; this means that I can life coach an individual regardless of their state of residency.
